Business Services

Mission

The mission of Business Services is to support the District in preparing every student for college, career, and life. This support is exhibited by maximizing our fiscal resources, providing quality educational facilities with state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure, serving nutritional meals, and maintaining schools to the highest standards possible.


Business Services comprises the following Departments: Fiscal Services, Maintenance, Facilities & Operations, Food Services, Information Technology (IT), and Purchasing/Warehouse

The Business Services division is led by the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, who serves as the District's Chief Business Official (CBO). The CBO oversees Fiscal Services, Maintenance, Facilities & Operations, Food Services, Information Technology (IT), and Purchasing/Warehouse. In addition to department oversight, the CBO serves as Agency Representative to the District's two Joint-Powers' Authorities.

The Fiscal Services Department provides budget planning, review and analysis for the District with a combination of deliberate fiscal strategies:

 

  • Estimating our anticipated revenues and expenditures
  • Monitoring carefully our on-time and ongoing budgets
  • Approaching strategically the complexities of state, federal, and local resources
  • Attending to the long-range fiscal implications of today's decisions
